Elder Roger Gallimore

I was born in Rapid City and went through my school years in Phoenix. I returned to Rapid City following high school graduation in 1976 and graduated 4 years later from the SD School of Mines. From there I began my 40 plus year career in the YMCA. Having been raised Roman Catholic, it was during the college years that I learned about the Reformed faith. In studying about the Reformed faith I was particularly drawn to the Heidelberg Catechism. My wife, Eileen, and I were married in 1979 in the church of her youth at Zion Reformed in Menno, SD. Not long afterward I began teaching teens the Heidelberg Catechism. In 1992 Eileen and I and our three daughters were one of five core families that started Grace Reformed Church with the first worship service held in our living room. We have fond memories of the five families and the refreshment we received as miserable sinners saved by grace through Christ. By God’s grace I have served as elder since this church began and have also served since the beginning as the pre-confirmation teacher. Service also included 18 years as Heidelberg Youth Camp Director and multiple Classis and Synod committees. My wife and I have been blessed beyond measure and praise God for the rich preaching, teaching and loving fellowship that marks the life of Grace Reformed Church.
